VINS HODGSON, P'TIT LUCHINI ROUGE 2023
Vins Hodgson, P'tit Luchini Rouge 2023
A welcome release from Mai & Kenji. The P'tit Luchini moniker is used when they have wines that don't quite fit the bill of their estate cuvees - Faia/Aussigouins or Grande Piece. This is a blend of all their red varietals, including the first significant harvest of the syrah they planted a few years ago...
Kenji: "Luchini" rouge is an assemblage of all the reds of 23: grolleau, syrah, and cabernet. 23 being a lighter vintage, we chose to call it Luchini although it is essentially O Galarneau. It has nice fruit flavours and fresh acidity. Tasting good and ready to be opened though could also age several years.
