VINS HODGSON, LES NOËLS DE MONTBENAULT 2024

A blend of 50 year old terraced vines & 30 year old vines on a lower slope near the Layon river. After harvesting the wine was pressed slowly then aged in a mix of foudre and small barrels including some new barrels. 2024 was a cooler vintage, giving the wine a backbone of acidity, but still with texture, ripe fruit and balance. Already very enjoyable it will, as usual be very much worth cellaring, if you have the patience.
