Mathias Barralon is based in a remote part of the Ardeche called Desaignes at an altitude of 600m, he planted his own vines of Pinot Noir, Gamay & Chenin Blanc. The wines have captivated us for a few years and we have finally managed to secure some for the UK

80% Pinot Noir, 20% Gamay from a plot 0.8 of a hectare planted at southern exposure at 650m altitude. The grapes were macerated for seven days whole bunch, then aged in steel, the altitiude and granite soils bring complexity and length to the delicate fruit, a wine of impeccable finesse.
