MATHIAS BARRALON, ARBOUSIER GAMAY 2024

Mathias Barralon is based in a remote part of the Ardeche called Desaignes at an altitude of 600m, he planted his own vines of Pinot Noir, Gamay & Chenin Blanc from which he is making wine, but as there has been a succession of difficult vintages since he started to supplement this he has made some wines bought from friends in the south of the region. This is one of those, a delicious gamay, brimming with bright fruit, but with just a touch of structure. A perfect bistro wine.
