FRANÇOIS SAINT-LÔ, LES POUCHES, CHENIN BLANC 2021

A delicious direct press Chenin from François they press in their huge basket press through the night, as slowly as possible sometimes it takes days. After pressing the wine was put straight into old barrels for over two years. 

As with a lot of 2021 wines, the less warm year made for a vintage where fermentations were easier and this is already drinking beautifully with ripe orchard fruit, tension and minerality. A delight
