FRANÇOIS SAINT-LÔ, LES POUCHES, CHENIN BLANC 2020

For the first time since 2016, a direct press Chenin Blanc from François, and it's well worth waiting for. 2020 was a generous vintage and he set aside some Chenin to press direct - slowly as always, they press in their huge basket press through the night, as slowly as possible sometimes it takes days. After pressing the wine was put straight into old barrels for over two years. 

A remarkable wine with such lovely texture, pure fruit and quite incredible length, it's at once delicate and powerful. Starting to drink well, but still a little fragile, it'll definitely be worth holding on to a few bottles if you have the patience
