FRANÇOIS SAINT LÔ, 2019/2020 CABERNET FRANC SELECTION

2019 and 2020 of Les Palennes & Bois Guyon, the two Cabernet Franc parcels that Francois farms with his horses. 

2019 was dryer, so both parcels were given a maceration of 50% whole bunch and 50% destemmed fruit for around 12 days, then pressed slowly in his antique press. They were then aged in barrel for two years before bottling.

2020 was the same process except it was 100% whole bunch, which gives perhaps even more elegance. 

A delicious taste through two wonderful vintages of what has become one of the great wines of the Loire valley.
