DOMAINE LA COTELETTE, CH.... 2024

In this almost forgotten part of Burgundy, en route to the Jura, Benoît Kilian farms the historic vineyard of Domaine La Cotelette. Working with 2.5 hectares, it’s an estate that dates back to 1919 when previous owner Guy Bussiere’s grandfather first planted vines here. Historically there were vines everywhere but now Benoit is very isolated, producing energetic, esoteric and above all delicious wines from beautiful vineyards. 

As a former natural wine distributor he has a deep knowledge of the wines and this is reflected in his approach, free and open wines that speak of the soils they come from and a burgundy that used to be. 

100% Chardonnay from old vines pressed direct and aged in barrel. A leaner vintage has given a wine bright with minerals, bright fruit and lovely texture.
