DOMAINE BORIES JEFFERIES, WHERE BLACK IS THE COLOR 2021

A brilliant new wine from Joe Jefferies, originally from Warwickshire, but now residing in Caux, in the Languedoc and producing some of the most exciting wines in the region from basalt soils. 

this is 100% Carignan, given a 6 day maceration whole bunch. 

It's a lovely balance of intensely perfumed Carignan fruit, with a weighty depth and incredible freshness from the basalt soils. 

The title comes from Bob Dylan's A Hard Rain's A Gonna Fall
