FRANÇOIS SAINT-LÔ, LES PALENNES 2019. CABERNET FRANC

60-70 year old vines of Cabernet Franc planted on dense, hard limestone. They give the grapes around 10-15 days of whole bunch maceration with no punchdowns or heavy extraction, then press slowly into old barrels where the juice sits for a couple of years. Already drinking beautifully with soft black fruit a hint of dusty tannins and a very long finish this is a wonderful vintage for what has become something of a classic.
