LA FERME DU CADE, LES GARBETTES 2019

In the late 1950s and early 1960s, it was his grandfather who planted “Les Garbettes,” a well-watered limestone lieu-dit comprising a series of small clearings below the family mas, overlooking the Ceze river. The vines were planted in gobelet, mixing a fifth of cinsault among the grenache. From this beautiful vineyard in 2019 the fruit was destemmed and given a weeks maceration before ageing in steel. The terroir shines through the brambly fruit and this is a remarkable wine for the price point with beautiful length and salinity.
